Botox, the cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, is a popular injectable that temporarily reduces or eliminates facial fine lines and wrinkles. The most commonly treated areas are frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet near the eyes. Several other areas have been treated such as thick bands in the neck, thick jaw muscles, lip lines and gummy smiles. The end result is diminished unwanted facial wrinkles or appearance.

Like Botox, Botulinum Type A is Dysport’s active ingredient. Once injected, Dysport disables the nerves around the injection site. This limits muscle movement, relaxing the area and smoothing out the skin. However, Dysport positions itself primarily to treat moderate to severe forehead lines and glabellar lines sometimes called frown lines or 11 lines.

Sculptra is a new injectable used to fight wrinkles and sagging skin by stimulating the skin’s collagen production to help restore the cheeky plumpness of healthy skin. It is an alternative anti-aging treatment to injectable dermal fillers, skin creams, fat injections and implants.

How many injections will I receive?

There is no one size fits all treatment plan. This varies from person to person. Come in for a consultation and suggested plan of action.

How long is the recovery process after my treatment?

This treatment has very little downtime, you may continue on with your daily routine immediately following your treatment. Post care instructions include: limiting blood thinning agents, avoid vigorous exercise, no facial for 72 hours, and stay vertical for 4 hours post treatment.

Will I see results immediately?

You will potentially begin to see results within 24-48 hours post treatment and full results are achieved 2 week after.

How long does Botox last?

Botox can last up to 4 months, but this varies person to person as everyone’s bodies react and metabolize differently.

How does Botox work?

Injection muscles that repeatedly contract from motions such as frowning, squinting, smiling, etc. with Botox to reduce muscle activity temporarily causing a smoothing for lines created by these contractions.


Is Sculptra safe?

Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, a molecule which is biodegradable, so it does not harm the body and is easily broken down and absorbed.

Does it hurt?

We use a very effective topical numbing agent to numb the skin prior to the injections. The Sculptra powder is also reconstituted with water and lidocaine, so you will feel more numb as the injections are being done. Most people are surprised at how comfortable the treatments are.

How many treatments will I need?

On average, a minimum of three treatment sessions are needed over a period of several months. The number of injection sessions and the length of time between sessions vary from person to person. Older patients, thinner patients, and patients who exercise extensively may require more product or more treatment sessions.

Are there specific instructions to follow around the time of my treatment?

You should avoid taking the following medications for at least 7 days prior to your injections to minimize bruising: -Any type of anti-inflammatory medication – including Aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aleve, etc. -Any type of Omega-3 supplements such as fish oil, flax seed oil, etc. -Vit E.

Dermal Fillers

Do dermal filler injections hurt?

Dermal filler injections can be uncomfortable but we do our best to decrease any discomfort. The filler contains numbing anesthetics to help with pain, we also have ice available as requested.

How long does it take to see results?

Results can be seen immediately and continue to improve over the following 2 weeks as it settles in and swelling subsides.

How long do fillers last?

Dermal filler lasts different lengths from person to person however it can last for 8-12 months but best results are achieved with repeated maintenance treatments.

Are there any side effects with filler?

Possible side effects include redness, swelling, lumpiness immediately following injections. Massaging helps to subside any lumpiness. There is always a risk of infection with any injectable but we use every measure possible to keep our space and technique clean and safe.

Can I go back to regular activities after my injections?

Avoid exercise for 24 hours after treatments and try to avoid extreme heat or cold for the entirety of the 2 week healing process.
