Blood testing is typically the first step to understand and determine your health.

SpectraCell Micronutrient tests measure the function of 35 nutritional components including vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and amino acids within our white blood cells. SpectraCell Micronutrient test provides the most comprehensive nutritional analysis available by measuring functional deficiencies at the cellular level. It is an assessment of how well the body utilizes 33 vitamins, minerals, amino/fatty acids, antioxidants, and metabolites, while conveying the body’s need for these micronutrients that enable the body to produce enzymes, hormones, and other substances essential for proper growth, development, and good health. This test provides the basis of a personalized, functional approach in addressing a broad variety of clinical conditions including arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular risk, diabetes, various immunological disorders, metabolic disorders and micronutrient deficiencies. – SpectraCell Laboratories, Inc.

Nutrient information
Vitamin + Nutrient therapies help support wellness, fitness, and optimize overall health and wellness.
B12 (methylcobalamin)
Vitamin B12 is an especially important vitamin for maintaining healthy nerve cells, and it helps in the production of DNA and RNA, the body’s genetic material. Vitamin B12 works closely with vitamin B9, also called folate or folic acid, to help make red blood cells and to help iron work better in the body.
Treatment for: Fatigue, insomnia, depression, chronic pain, herpes, anxiety, brain fog, anemia
Food sources: Animal based: fish, beef, dairy, eggs, poultry.
B- COmplex (b1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
B Complex (B1 Thiamine, B2 Riboflavin, B3 Niacinamide, B5 Pantothenic Acid, B6 Pyridoxid)plays an important role in keeping our bodies running like well-oiled machines. These essential nutrients help convert our food into fuel, allowing us to stay energized throughout the day.
Treatment for: Immune support, neuropathic pain
Food Sources: Brewer’s yeast, leafy greens
Glutathione
Glutathione is the master antioxidant and detoxifier of every cell in your body. It is composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine. Glutathione is the most important antioxidant produced by the body. It prevents cellular damage caused by free radicals and peroxides.
Treatment for: Detoxification, liver health, immune support, allergies, Parkinson’s, brightens and lightens skin.
Taurine
A sulfur-containing amino acid important in the metabolism of fats. It is a major constituent of bile and can be found in the large intestine.
Treatment for: Stabilizes cell membranes, cardiovascular health (congestive heart failure), diabetes, cirrhosis, nonalcoholic fatty liver, eye health, muscle recovery, mood (calming, concentration, mood), can lower blood pressure
Food sources: Animal products
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)
Promotes healing and supports the immune system. Vitamin C also functions as an anti-oxidant, anti-histamine, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial. Intravenous administration of vitamin C may reduce the severity of the common cold.
Zinc
Zinc promotes wound healing and enhances immune function. It is anti-inflammatory and an anti-viral against some viruses. Zinc also promotes the conversion of thyroid hormone to its active form.
Lysine
As a natural disease-fighting agent, the amino acid L-lysine provides numerous benefits for the body. From converting fat to energy, to helping form collagen, Lysine is one of the essential amino acids, which are those that the body cannot make.  Possible health benefits lysine include improving cold sores, reducing blood pressure and helps increase bone strength by the increased absorption of calcium.
Selenium
Selenium functions as an anti-oxidant. It is a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase and for the conversion of thyroid hormone to it’s active form. Selenium enhances immune function and has antiviral effects.
Magnesium
Magnesium is a naturally occurring mineral that is important for many systems in the body, especially the muscles and nerves. Magnesium sulfate also increases water in the intestines. Orally, magnesium sulfate is used as a laxative to relieve occasional constipation.
Treatment for: Heart issues, muscle cramps, pain, headaches/migraines, anxiety, fatigue, stress, hypertension, PMS
Food Sources: Almonds, tofu, spinach, beans, chocolate, etc.
Carnitine
Carnitine is an amino acid that can decrease fat mass, preserve muscle during exercise and reduce muscle fatigue.  Carnitine plays a critical role in energy productions it transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria so they can be oxidized ("burned") to produce energy.
Food Sources: L-Carnitine is found in animal products (meat, fish, poultry, and milk).
MIC
MIC (Methionine, Inositol, Choline) assists in lowering serum cholesterol levels, and may also accelerate your metabolism so you can burn calories & energy faster. Choline promotes a healthy liver by enabling it to metabolize fatty deposits. It works with inositol to help emulsify fats and cholesterol.
Treatment for: Prevents fatty liver, balances blood sugars, helps control carb cravings, insomnia, lowers triglycerides, anxiety, diabetes
Food Sources: Eggs, soy, dark leafy greens
Glutamine
Glutamine is an important amino acid with many functions in the body. It is a building block of protein and critical part of the immune system. What's more, glutamine  has a special role in intestinal health. Your body naturally produces this amino acid, and it is also found in many foods
Food Sources: The dietary sources of glutamine includes especially the protein-rich foods like beef, chicken, fish, dairy products, eggs, vegetables like beans, beets, cabbage, spinach, carrots, parsley, vegetable juices and also in wheat, papaya, Brussels sprouts, celery, kale and fermented foods like miso.
Ornithine
Ornithine is used for improving athletic performance, reducing glutamine poisoning in the treatment of a brain condition due to liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy), and for wound healing.
Arginine
L- arginine has two effects: it turns into nitric oxide and helps the body build protein. These effects give L-arginine an array of potential benefits that range from heart health and chest pain to helping to build muscles, repair wounds, and improve male fertility.
Citrulline
L-citrulline is a naturally occurring amino acid. L-citrulline is an amino acid normally made by the body. The body converts L-citrulline to L-arginine, another type of amino acid.   L-citrulline is used for Alzheimer's disease, dementia, fatigue, muscle weakness, sickle cell disease, erectile dysfunction, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Food Sources: Watermelon is one of the best food sources of L-citrulline. Legumes, meat, and nuts also contain the amino acid.
Manganese Sulfate
Manganese is a trace mineral. It is vital for the human body, but people only need it in small amounts. Manganese contributes to many bodily functions, including the metabolism of amino acids, cholesterol, glucose, and carbohydrates. It also plays a role in bone formation, blood clotting, and reducing inflammation.
